Karey Freeman – Director of Research and Media
Karey brings a diverse background to the CFMG team, working at the advertising agency level in media and account service, at one of the largest radio groups in the country in a research/sales capacity, and at a start-up television station in a top 20 market in a regional/local sales position. Her agency, research, radio and television knowledge make her a great asset to our clients when it comes to the creation, recommendation and execution of truly effective “customer focused” media campaigns. At the agency level she was responsible for media buying for Pizza Hut (5 markets in the Southeast), WKCF-WB18 (both local and national placement in the Orlando market), Universal Studios outdoor and Recreational Factory Warehouse (7 markets in the Southeast) and as an account executive for Tracey-Locke/TL Partnership, Karey was responsible for the development and execution of market specific extensions of Pepsi’s national programs in eight of the markets in Pepsi-Cola’s Southeast Region. At Cox Radio, Karey was instrumental in bringing in an average of a million dollars in new sales to the stations annually by working side by side with the sales staff in preparing solid, thoughtful client-specific research. At WRDQ-TV, she used her advertising and research knowledge to grow her sales 80% in just three years at a start-up, independent television station.

Emily Chung – Marketing Coordinator
Emily has a wide array of skills, a unique standpoint and contributes a fresh outlook to the marketing community. With her degree in International Marketing from Texas Christian University, she’s gained an excellent sense of marketing theory and not only evolves the idea of what an effective marketing strategy is, but actively and creatively finds innovative methods of implementation. At CFMG, theory meets practice through the development of marketing concept in internet research, web design and public relations. With a background that gives insight into the perspectives of both consumers and sales, coupled with a solid foundation and diverse work experience; her marketing skills have been utilized in targeting multiple demographics for a wide array of establishments including non-profit organizations, restaurants, metro-area newspaper companies, and both legal and medical professionals.

Dorene Thomas - Media Placement Specialist
Dorene has spent her career with advertising agencies in a media planning and buying capacity. She has worked on a regional level with such accounts as Taco Bell (11 markets in the Southeast and Midwest), USAir, Geico, Perkins Restautant & Bakery (5 markets in Florida), and Badcock Furniture (7 markets in the Southeast). On both Taco Bell and Badcock Furniture, Dorene planned and implemented numerous grand opening events and local store marketing programs. Her experience with businesses throughout the state of Florida is vast and includes such clients as The Florida Lottery, The Florida Aquarium, Silver Springs, St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Tampa Tribune, and Tampa General Hospital. While working on the Visit Florida tourism account, Dorene developed the media co-op program that is used today for their partner advertising initiative.
